WGT - Thursday

 

It's the 9th of June, we are at Agra. Smoke fills the stage, and at 18.35 Bruno from Das Ich welcomes us all to the 20th Wave Gotik Treffen! 20 years is no small feat, but the festival just seems to grow and attract more and more people.

Although Agra is not full at this time, people trickle in a steady rate, and I just know that when the main concerts start on friday, the venue will be packed.
The audience in front of the stage is lively, but and the sides and back people haven't really gotten into the festival mood yet. It's still so early, and many, including us, just arrived after a long, warm car trip from abroad. The band does a good job at waking up the audience, though, with great sound and very audible vocals. Finally WGT really starts!

After a great concert, it's time for the visual entertainment of the Agra "catwalk". There is no place like it for people watching! So many elaborate costumes, and so much beauty in one small area.

Later on we went to Darkflower, to see what the clubbing part of WGT had to offer this year. And I must say, I love Darkflower, it's a great club. The fact that there are two different dance floors there makes it more interesting, and the chance of hearing music you like/want to dance to is doubled.
We usually end up in the back room, as the front part is always packed! It's such a popular club, and definitely my favourite of the WGT clubs.
