M'era Luna 2011

As steampunk rises as a emerging trend in the alternative scene, DraculaClothing becomes more and more popular. At this years Wave Gotik Treffen, we saw 24 people in corsets, jewelry and accessories from the brand.

They say rain is the typical festival weather. The last years, Castle Party has mostly been spared of this, but this time the weather had it in for us all.

Oh, Castle Party, let me count the ways I love thee!

No, I won't count anything, but what I will do is let you know exactly what's so special about this tiny (in comparison to WGT) festival in the tiny (in comparison to everything) town of Bolkow, Poland.

It's the 9th of June, we are at Agra. Smoke fills the stage, and at 18.35 Bruno from Das Ich welcomes us all to the 20th Wave Gotik Treffen! 20 years is no small feat, but the festival just seems to grow and attract more and more people.

People at Inferno
Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

Another black easter filled with infernal extreme metal madness is behind us, and even though I'm glad this only takes place once a year, I'm already looking forward to the next Inferno Metal Festival. It has been great fun to be a part of what is, in my opinion, not only Norway's greatest easter tradition but the world's.

How did you get into modelling?
DraculaClothing
Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

I started DraculaClothing in 2007, the idea came when we where walking around in Camden trying to shop for clothing, but failing since all the shops carried the same brands and I didn't like the quality or the price of the few things we found.

The Tunnels, Bristol UK, 24/11/2011.

Tonight we’re at The Tunnels in Bristol, it’s a chilly November evening and I am here along with
Luise my girlfriend to ask Daniel Graves about his new album, “All Beauty Destroyed”, his first UK
headlining tour and what really frightens him....

O: So Daniel good to see you again, how are you?

D: Pretty good, a little tired but I am in high spirits.

O: How is the tour going so far?

We tread gingerly. Marble sarcophaguses and granite statues tease of times almost forgotten. Stonemason and blacksmith’s work are on display, an open-air gallery of priceless antiques, art, and sculpture. Monuments commissioned for another time. Genealogies left bare for future generations. A child buried in 1889 rests peacefully next to her kin buried in 1946. Who were these people? What were their hopes and dreams? Who did they love passio

Apoptygma Berzerk
Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013
Being Norwegians, we just had to go to the Apoptygma Berzerk concert when they played at Prague's Lucerna Music bar. Press passes were secured through a mutual friend, and we were really looking forward to the show.

We arrived early, only to see that our friends were already there.

Eisbrecher, 25.5.12, Wave Gotik Treffen

Even though Eisbrecher headlined day 1 of WGT, they are a new aquaintance to us. We listened to a couple of songs before leaving for Leipzig, and decided that this was something to check out. We like music with heavy guitars, and Eisbrecher delivers on that point.

WGT Victorian Picnic
Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013

I don't think it comes as a surprise that Viona's Victorian Picnic in the Clara Zetkin Park is our favourite WGT event. Held on Friday, for many the first day at the festival, the picnic showcases the best of what alternative fashion has to offer.

It seems the weather gods appreciate this opulent event, as we have never experienced bad weather the three times we have attended the picnic. Although some of the costumes seemed a bit warm in the sun and heat, I think everyone dressed in huge gowns with long trains appreciates the lack of rain.
